what does it mean

Post by imamu on Wed Jan 12, 2011 3:53 pm

blessings to all

whilst reading the Reiki Master Manual by peggy jentoft, I came across a line that I am not able to understand, I have done a bit of an internet searching but do not appear to have come up with something that is able satisfies my understanding, so I bring it to the forum; can anyone help.

Here is the paragraph I have read and the particular word is ao........,

"I often find myself mentally voicing specific intentions during the attunement. To do this mentally intend that the initiates' crown, brow, heart, hands, eyes, throat, feet, voice aura structures meridians ao, chakra, and all other possible appropriate channels be connected with and to the ability to use and share Reiki that the Soulstar and Earthstar chakra consciously become active that any blocks and impediments be removed to the ongoing connection with the energies , information and abilities that will best serve them"

pdf file (Reiki Master Manual Peggy Jentoft 13-14)

Have I misread, is this an error? Can someone enlighten me on this matter?

Peace love & light

Well, dear Inamu,

This is specific to Peggy (or maybe some others,) but this not traditionally what we do while attuning.
an Usui Master do not need to specify any intention during the attunement.

The Divine energy of Reiki knows exactly what to do and where to go and what to open to make the student a perfect channel.

But of course there's no harm if you put an intention but it's absolutely not necessary.

It would be interesting to know the opinion of other Masters and to know if they proceed that way.

Thank you dear Inamu for this interesting question Smile

May I also ask something?
I've heard from some reiki practicioners that they put some symbols or sth to prevent from having the bad energy of the treated person or anything bad happens to them in the terms of energy when they perform reiki. Is that true? I don't remember anything concerned shealing wether with symbols or not.
Thank you!
