Nail techs need coverage

Post by NACAMSStaff on Mon Feb 28, 2011 9:28 am

As a nail technician, you have the chance to brighten the day for so many women. When these women come in for their weekly, biweekly or monthly nail appointment, they know they will be walking away feeling a little more confident, because having well cared for nails brings a sense of beauty and polish for most women. Your job as a nail technician is to possess the skills and professionalism to pull this off time and time again. This is how you gain a loyal client following—the kinds of clients who do not want an appointment with any nail technician but you. It also is how you build a solid reputation in your field and in your community, which draws new clients to your station on a regular basis.

However, before you can relax into a position of success, with a long list of clients and days that are booked with back to back nail appointments, it is first necessary to ensure you are set up for best practices in your business. At the foundation of basic good business practices is a solid nail technician liability insurance policy. This will serve as the cornerstone of your work as a nail technician.

Much like automobile insurance, it is something you pay for in order to secure a certain peace of mind. You know it is there in case there are any accidents in the future. Fortunately, enrolling in a strong nail technician insurance program does not have to cost a lot. In fact, you should be able to find the right policy for less than a couple hundred dollars per year.
