The first time I ever received Reiki was many many years ago when I was living with (occasional) back pain.
I met a lady who told me about Reiki and said she could treat my back.
I was I have to say very sceptical and thought she sounded a bit crackers! But decided I had nothing to loose except the treatment costs, so gave it a try.
WOW it was amazing! I drifted into a sleep during the first treatment and she let me sleep (for how long I dont know). I felt very very peaceful during the treatment and had wobbly legs when I went to get up off the bed. The second tretament was also good and since then my back has only been bad very very occasionally!
I knew at the time that anyone coud do Reiki, but (fooloshly) assumed it to be quite diificult.
In 2007 I found an add in the paper about an introduction course to Reiki and informed about it. Deciding this wasnt what I wanted, I went in search of a Reiki master and found mine. I then was attuned to Reik I and later II.
I would love to try and start offering treatments to people now (as I have the space in which to do this at last).
I love it and that you can use it for anything! Plants, animals, the list is endless.
After my child was recovering from an operation I sat and gave Reiki to a cup of water then got him to drink it (I didnt tell him I was using Reiki) and he took a sip and asked why this cup tasted different from the last cup I had given him!
