Reiki healing is not a Religion.It is a natural, pure energy which everyone can benefit from and had a broad appeal that touched people on a deep level despite their diversity in cultures and creeds.Reiki energy is truly holistic and is not dependent on a person’s belief systems and conditioning.

As a volunteer reiki practitioner with a hospice group, I have a hard time convincing folks that reiki is not in conflict with a person's religion/belief system. So many reject reject reiki for fear of putting their salvation in jeopardy.

In hospice care, reiki can give comfort to both the patient and the family. I have used my reiki only once in hospice care and that was when I touched a patient to comfort her and the reiki flowed on its own.

Many in the West, specifically the christian types of religions have been poisoned against Reiki Healings due to mainly ignorance. What they fail to understand is that Jesus used similar healing energies in doing what he did. There is no conflict. You can do your healing remotely but, THIS IS PARAMOUNT: It requires the permission of the person being healed. When doing Reiki on a person, I always ask for permission.
