Yoga liability insurance makes sense

Post by NACAMSStaff on Thu May 10, 2012 9:25 am

If you were to ask a large sample of people on the street—especially women—how they felt about a visit to the yoga studio, most of them would probably use words such as excited or grateful. In other words, a visit to the yoga studio is typically considered an all around positive experience.

It is important, however, for the professional yoga teacher to acknowledge that this business also carries a certain amount of risk—that the tools and ingredients used to provide that pampering or appearance improving experience can also cause damage or injury if an accident or other unexpected scenario occurs.

This is not to say that the professional yoga teacher should be paranoid or worried about accidentally harming a client. With proper training and knowledge, the risk of something of damage or injury tends to decrease dramatically. The savvy response to the fact that one’s work does carry risk is simply to sign up for a high quality yoga teacher liability insurance policy, and then breathe a sigh of relief and move on.

With a yoga instructor liability insurance policy, you will be protected from the fall out of any accident that might happen on your property or inside your treatment room. For example, if a client were to slip, trip or fall and suffer an injury on your property, the general liability portion of your yoga liability insurance policy would be there to provide coverage if necessary.
