Don't know what to say at a Reiki workshop

Post by relaxwithreiki on Tue Jan 06, 2015 6:23 pm

I've been invited to conduct a 2-hour Reiki workshop. The workshop is one of the electives offered at a large non-Reiki related event this coming weekend. The event is called SpiritFest, so it has a spiritual emphasis, but I don't want to assume anything about the attendees.

All of the workshop presenters will be making an announcement at the initial session to say what their workshop is about and to invite people to attend their workshop.  What should my announcement be?

Then, what should the content of my workshop be?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi Relax with Reiki,

It sounds like this event is an awesome opportunity to introduce folks to Reiki, perhaps naming your workshop:101 Reiki or something.
You can explain what reiki is, list examples what it can be used for, give a demo to a friend sitting on a chair, while explaining the hand positions. Maybe add some humor, demonstrating the need for a good aura cleansing!
Don't get too wordy. Visual, and kinestic presentations will hold your audience's attention. Keep it simple, have fun.

If you feel connected to crystal energy, try blue kyanite (a super rock for successful communication and anxiety). Before your presentation, place the blue kyanite on your throat chakra, feel it's positive intent, the words will flow.
Good luck!
