I suppose Level 1. I have no background in Reiki. I'm new to this.

My panic attacks only revolve around talking. It was a dislike of my voice as a teenager that started them all. It became worse and worse over time. It's my throat that feels shut when uncomfortable around others (and the fast hearbeat). It's hard to explain, but I have problems expressing myself and feelings comfortably in voice around strangers and even people I know sometimes without being nervous (I'm not shy, though). Yes, I feel it's blocked, my 5th Chakra (but I'm no expert at all). So, it's really social anxiety when talking. I can't be myself often.

I do meditate and practice breathing exercises.

Well, I believe that it's more my 3rd chakra that is blocked (more than 5th). The 3rd chakra is very much associated with panic attack and anxiety (ulcers, etc). I do have a thyroid problem, which I feel is a bit of a problem in my 5th chakra.

I just thought I'd share.

Hello Divine Light!

Yes, I"m not an expert with chakras -- far from it. It's very strange, but when I meditate, I always feels such a tightness in my throat area and head.

I'm taking L-theanine (amino acid). I also take levothyroxine for an underactive thyroid. Sometimes, I also feel that I'm not getting enough blood to my head (mon flux de sang vers la tête me semble souvent trop faible).

I just feel like I cannot relax - ever. I've been that way for a while. The more I try sometimes, the more difficult it is.

I am hindered from going forward in life due to this "unknown" fear/anxious feelings always inside of me.

I do have a zest for life (j'adore la vie).

if u want pick up a book on chakras...it sounds like u are intentionally blocking ur advancement maybe by not expressing yourself...though if u have problems physically you might have a past life issue u will need to deal with...

Yes, I am feeling much, much better since i've been attuned and grounding myself (living a very clean lifestyle). But, complete healing is a journey, and will take time. I'm thinking of getting crystals and advancing in Reiki. It's so far been a true blessing in my life. I crave only what is pure and fresh and natural.

It would be a dream if I could go to Sedona, or any place where there are lay lines.

How, though, do I know if I have past life issues?

Yes, I have. I was in England for 4-5 months and also in France for about 5 months. It's as if I am drawn to the little villages, monasteries, etc. I never want to leave there. It's more than just desire; it's like I have unfinished business there. I love the French and German language (study them constantly). Everything seems mysterious. Why do I have these interests when my everyday life is so far away from all of this?

thats not unusual i bet ur a very spiritual person since birth..the only people who have the life of monk and remember it are very focused and have past life problems but perfect karma..do u know how to meditate?if u do get deep and start focusing on the medieval past...if u cant just close ur eyes relax and breathe repeatedly...be warned the answers can take form of things u might not be ready for but it wont be harmful...just be relaxed and receptive..good luck u might have ur issues disappear faster then u think...namaste

Yes, I've been a very spiritual person all my life. Although I don't belong to any one religion, I've been drawn to Catholic and Eastern Orthodox monasticism. Also, I have a deep love for Buddhist monasticism as well. It seems as if the monasticism transcends the religion. But to be layperson is not my cup of tea.

I want to see the documentary about a group of Catholic monks in Switzerland called "Into Great Silence." Gregorian chants fill me with bliss.

Reiki has been a blessing for me. I hope to make great strides.

Problem. Contemperary Usui Reiki doesn't teach how to lift out core beliefs as it did when originally introduced, so the level I of Self Healing is incomplete as far as dredging out what ails us most. So when you do Reiki and there is little in the way of response, its likely an imbedded core belief. Early conditioning and I feel something from a past life carried over that allowed what I call " not having your voice heard" inbed in the back of the throat. This is core beleif, a belief or emotion that you carry unconscionably. Reiki is an intentioned healing system, in order to work effectively with it you should now walk forward with this with the intention of lifting a core belief. One that you didn't know about before. Work the throat, front and back, liver, kidneys, lungs, stomach first. Core beliefs have little to do with chakras, chakras have been with us always, core beliefs are developed mostly in this lifetime. Then move into doing chakra work Work in the back of the chakra though, along the back. Its the core beleif affecting the chakras not the other way around. I find that putting therapeutic grade spruce oil on the bottoms of my feet and the places noted above help to lift out core beliefs along with the reiki.
