Find solid yoga insurance policy to save your practice

Post by NACAMSStaff on Fri Apr 06, 2012 6:54 am

While it is true that such individuals may be more likely to use their liability insurance than others, it does not mean that all those professionals who seem to provide far less risky services do not need liability insurance as well. This certainly goes for yoga teachers, who should be sure to possess a high quality yoga liability insurance policy before opening the doors to their dance studio or classroom.

One of the main reasons a yoga teacher should secure yoga liability insurance is simply for the general liability coverage such a policy would provide. General liability insurance is also known as “slip and fall” insurance, for it is there to provide coverage for damage or injury in case one of your dance students has an accident on the property of your yoga studio or in your yoga classroom.

This portion of a yoga insurance policy should make it clear why even a yoga teacher needs to get liability insurance. Even though what you do for a living does not carry a very high inherent risk, there is always the chance that a student could slip, trip or fall and get hurt on your property.

It is also important to acknowledge the fact that there is some risk inherent to yoga, in that students are frequently moving and pushing their bodies to perform. Therefore, yoga teachers should avoid making an incorrect assumption when it comes to deciding whether or not they need dance instructor liability insurance.
